Hurricane Laura approaches landfall Thursday with considerable lightning in and around the eyewall. Hurricane Laura slammed the coast of Louisiana near the Texas border as a Category 4 hurricane on Thursday, bringing with it winds of 150mph. Downgraded: Hurricane Laura made landfall as a Category 4 storm, but it has since weakened to a Category 2.It still has winds of 110 mph.
